Our Anti-Static Valved Holding Chamber (VHC) is a medical device designed to optimize the delivery of aerosolized medications from a metered-dose inhaler (MDI) to the lungs. By acting as an intermediary reservoir that temporarily holds the medication after actuation, this spacer chamber helps patients with asthma, COPD, and other obstructive airway diseases receive the full therapeutic benefit of their prescribed inhaler therapy.
Key Benefits:
· Enhanced Lung Deposition – The anti-static chamber minimizes medication adhesion to the chamber walls, ensuring a higher dose reaches the lower airways where it is needed most.
· Reduced Oropharyngeal Deposition – The one-way valve system prevents medication from depositing in the mouth and throat, reducing local side effects and ensuring active substances are correctly transmitted to the respiratory tract.
· Improved Coordination – By separating inhaler actuation from inhalation, the VHC eliminates the need for perfect hand-breath coordination – particularly beneficial for children, elderly patients, and those experiencing an asthma attack.
· Universal Compatibility – The universal backpiece adapter fits most standard metered-dose inhalers (MDIs/puffers), making it a versatile accessory for various respiratory treatments.
· Easy to Clean & Maintain – Dishwasher-safe components (top rack) allow for convenient hygiene maintenance. The chamber is made from BPA-free, biocompatible materials for safe, long-term use.
· Portable & Lightweight – Compact and ergonomic design makes it easy to carry in a handbag, school bag, or travel case, supporting adherence to treatment regimens both at home and on the go.
Who It's For:
· Adults and children who use MDI inhalers for asthma or COPD management
· Patients who have difficulty coordinating inhaler actuation with inhalation
· Caregivers administering inhaled medications to infants and young children (with mask attachment)
· Use in clinical, home, or emergency settings
Available Configurations:
· With mouthpiece – for cooperative patients aged 6 years and above
· With pediatric mask – for children aged 1–5 years
· With infant mask – for babies aged 0–18 months
· With adult mask – for patients who cannot use a mouthpiece
Instructions for Use:
1. Shake the inhaler well and remove the caps from both the inhaler and the spacer.
2. Insert the inhaler mouthpiece firmly into the backpiece of the chamber.
3. Place the mouthpiece between your lips (or position the mask securely over the nose and mouth for children).
4. Press the inhaler once to release one dose of medication into the chamber.
5. Inhale slowly and deeply, or breathe in and out through the chamber for 2–3 breaths.
6. Hold your breath for 5–10 seconds before exhaling.
7. Wait 30–60 seconds before repeating for a second puff, if prescribed.
