This capnography oxygen mask delivers oxygen while providing a port for continuous CO2 sampling, so end-tidal CO2 can be monitored without a separate nasal cannula. It is used where the patient needs a higher inspired oxygen concentration than a nasal cannula provides, or where a nasal cannula cannot be used — for example during procedural sedation, in mouth breathers, or in patients who cannot tolerate nasal prongs.
Key Features:
Delivers oxygen and allows continuous CO2 sampling at the same time
Avoids the need for a separate nasal cannula in monitored patients
Connector sampling port
Soft mask body for patient comfort
Available in adult and paediatric sizes
Latex-free, single use, individually packed
Applications:
Procedural sedation where capnography is required
Patients needing a higher FiO2 than a nasal cannula provides
Mouth breathers who cannot use a nasal cannula
Patients who cannot tolerate nasal prongs
Emergency and critical care monitoring
Important Notes:
Single use only. Do not reuse or resterilise.
Do not use if the package is damaged or opened.
Confirm that the sampling port matches the connector on your capnograph before use.
Position the sampling port away from the oxygen inlet so that the sample is not diluted by fresh gas.
Check that the sampling line is not kinked or blocked during use.
Select the mask size that fits the patient; an oversized mask will leak and reduce the accuracy of the CO2 reading.
Set the oxygen flow rate according to the prescription.
This device delivers oxygen and provides a sampling port. It does not provide ventilatory support or airway protection.
