This manual resuscitator, also known as a bag valve mask (BVM), is a self-inflating resuscitation bag used to provide positive pressure ventilation when a patient is not breathing adequately. The kit includes a resuscitation bag, oxygen tube, PVC anesthesia mask and instructions manual, with an oropharyngeal airway, mouth opener and PEEP valve available as options. The bag is available in PVC for single use or silicone for reusable applications.

Important Notes:
PVC resuscitators are single use only. Do not reuse or resterilize.
Silicone resuscitators may be reused after cleaning and sterilization according to the instructions for use.
Do not use if the bag, valve or mask is damaged; check the valve function before each use.
Check that the bag refills fully and that the valve opens and closes correctly before use.
Select the correct bag size for the patient. Adult, pediatric and infant bags are not interchangeable.
Connect the oxygen tube and reservoir correctly when supplemental oxygen is required.
Optional accessories such as the PEEP valve, oropharyngeal airway and mouth opener may not be included; check the pack contents.
This device requires trained personnel. It does not replace a ventilator and does not provide airway protection.
