Full Face CPAP Mask

Product Description

This full face CPAP mask, also known as an oral-nasal or oronasal CPAP mask, covers both the nose and the mouth, allowing the patient to breathe through either during CPAP therapy. It is suited to patients who breathe through their mouth, and to those who need higher CPAP pressures where a nasal mask may not hold a seal.

The full face mask is one of three main CPAP mask types. Nasal masks cover the nose only, and nasal pillow masks sit at the nostrils. The full face mask covers the largest area but allows mouth breathing, which makes it suitable for patients who cannot maintain a seal with a nasal interface.

Full face CPAP masks in small, medium and large sizes

Key Features:

  • Covers both the nose and the mouth, allowing mouth or nose breathing

  • Suitable for patients who breathe through their mouth

  • Suitable for higher CPAP pressures where a nasal mask may not seal

  • Soft full face cushion for comfort and seal

  • Adjustable headgear for a secure fit

  • Swivel connector for freedom of movement during sleep

  • Exhalation ports in the elbow

  • Reusable, with replacement cushions available

  • Available in S, M and L sizes

Applications:

  • CPAP therapy for mouth-breathing patients

  • CPAP therapy at higher pressures

  • Patients who cannot maintain a seal with a nasal or nasal pillow mask

  • Patients with nasal obstruction who need to breathe through the mouth

  • Home CPAP therapy and sleep laboratory use

Important Notes:

  • The mask must not cover or press on the eyes. Air leaking towards the eyes can cause irritation.

  • Select the correct size and adjust the headgear to achieve a seal without over-tightening.

  • Check the seal around the nose bridge and the mouth; leakage at these points is common if the size or fit is wrong.

  • Full face masks have a larger dead space than nasal masks; take this into account when selecting an interface.

  • Some patients find full face masks confining; a nasal or nasal pillow mask may be preferred where clinically appropriate.

  • Clean the cushion and mask according to the instructions for use.

  • Replace the cushion when leakage, discomfort or wear occurs, and replace the mask according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Use only with a CPAP device as prescribed.

  • This product is a CPAP interface. It does not provide ventilatory support on its own.
