Duo-Limb Anesthesia Circuit Kit

This duo-limb anesthesia circuit kit has separate inspiratory and expiratory limbs joined at a Y-piece, so inspired and expired gas travel in separate tubes. This is the standard configuration for circle absorber systems, where unidirectional valves direct the gas flow. Each kit is assembled from a fixed combination of circuit length, single tube, breathing bag and connectors.

The separate limbs are the defining feature of this circuit type. Because inspired and expired gas travel in different tubes, each limb can be managed independently: the expiratory limb can be fitted with a filter, and either limb can be replaced on its own. Separate limbs are the standard arrangement for circle absorber systems, where unidirectional valves direct the gas flow and lower fresh gas flows can be used.

Important Notes:

• Single use only unless components are specified as reusable.

• Do not use if the package is damaged or opened.

• Check that the inspiratory and expiratory limbs are connected to the correct ports.

• Check that the Y-piece and all connections are secure before use.

• Do not allow either limb to kink or become compressed during use.

• Do not use the breathing system filter with a nebulizer; medication may be trapped.

• This product is a breathing system. It does not provide ventilatory support on its own.
